DIP TANKS

STYLE & FUNCTION.

The idea came about in summer, 2020 (the less said about that the better!). Being stuck at home during the lockdown with a 2 year old, through the ‘sunniest English Spring on record’, I began searching for a pool for our garden. A full swimming pool installation was out of the question and the blue plastic ones were just not for me. From experience, I know that they rarely last more than one summer, I wanted something that would be a permanent feature in the garden during spring/summer but could be stored away for the winter. Cue, Pinterest!

There it was...the answer! Stock Tank Pools

Originally sold as livestock water feeders, these tanks are designed to survive outside in all weather for many years.
They can be personalised, painted, pumped and heated!

I loved the classic look and quality of the galvanised steel but there was nothing like this available on the UK market.
This felt like an opportunity... and so, Diptanks was born!

SAFETY.

Pool safety and drowning prevention ⚠️
Stock tank pools are wonderful fun for children, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t underestimate the drowning risk, especially for small children. Sadly, drowning is the number one cause of unintentional death for children between the ages of 1 and 4.

NEVER allow a child in or near a stock tank pool without continuous adult supervision.

Never have electricity near the pool (extension cords, string lights, etc.) without Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt (GFCI) protection. (The Intex filter pump has GFCI built into the plug).

Safety products to consider;
- Pool motion alarm to detect motion in the water.
- Door alarm / chime on any doors or windows that allow access to the pool, to alert you if the door is opened.
- Pool safety fence / barrier to prevent physical access to the pool by children.

P L E A S E - NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN UNATTENDED IN ANY POOL.
